Judicial Evaluations
WAPA ratings are based on a rigorous vetting process. A committee of elected and deputy prosecutors reviews the candidate’s Uniform Judicial Evaluation Questionnaire, conducts reference checks, reviews their judicial writings, and conducts in-person interviews. All posted ratings are approved by the WAPA Board of Directors. Each rating is exclusively for the office sought by the candidate. A candidate’s rating for a different court might be higher or lower than the rating stated below. The procedures, rating criteria, and scoring matrix used by prosecutors are described fully in the WAPA Judicial Evaluation Procedures.
