About WAPA:
The Washington Association of Prosecuting Attorneys is a 503(c)(3) nonprofit entity which was created by the 39 county prosecutors of Washington State in the mid-1970s (although WAPA has existed since at least 1909.) WAPA is the prosecutor coordinator agency for the State and is a member of the National Association of Prosecutor Coordinators (NAPC – www.NAPC.us).
The purposes of WAPA is to improve and facilitate the administration of justice in the State of Washington; to foster and maintain the honor and integrity of the prosecuting attorneys of the State of Washington; and to promote the study of and research in the law and the administration of justice, the diffusion of knowledge thereof, and the continuing education of prosecuting attorneys, lawyers, law enforcement personnel, members of the judiciary, legislative personnel, and other members of the interested public by various means including arranging seminars and fostering periodic conventions and meetings for the discussion and solution of legal problems affecting the public interest in the administration of justice.
