Stevens County is seeking applicants for Deputy Prosecuting Attorney. We have multiple open attorney positions, with flexibility to reach a variety of legal interests. Depending on the right applicant, there is a potential to fill positions in the criminal division from entry level district court to experienced felony. We have an opening in the Civil division with potential to advance. If you are a Rule 9, we have opportunities for a full-time paid position while waiting for the bar exam and/or results. Approximately 80 miles north of Spokane, the County seat and office location is Colville, Washington. Wage Range: $91,000 to $127,000 (Rule 9: $73,000, upon licensure $91,000)
Benefits:
This position is eligible to Teamsters Local 690. Employee, spouse & qualifying dependents are medically covered by Inland Empire Teamsters Trust which also includes dental and vision. The County contributes $1000 towards an employee’s medical insurance plan cost per month. Retirement benefits through the Department of Retirement Services. Employee may also enroll in deferred compensation plans. County paid life insurance coverage in the amount of $40,000, with the option for voluntary life insurance and AD&D coverage and other supplemental coverages. County paid Basic LTD coverage (40% up to $4000). The County also provides Life Flight insurance coverage for the employee and eligible household members.
Other Compensation:
Vacation earned at 8 hours per month up to 16 hours per month dependent on years of continuous service with the County. Sick leave earned at 8 hours per month, as well as 11 paid holidays per year and one floating holiday.
